The book I was working on during the last 3 years is finally ready!
I started documenting the gentrification affecting my Barcelona neighborhood, as old factories are replaced by hotels and office buildings.
The pages of my sketchbook have become a record of change, as the old is bulldozed in the name of progress. This is my testimony to keep in mind what made Poblenou special to me.

You are all invited for the book launch and exhibition on Thursday 25th of October at 19:00 in Can Picó, calle de Pere IV, 58 in Barcelona.

"ouessant. un polop chez les maouts"

I will sign my book of ouessant island next saturday in Ouessant, and the 11th of april in brest.

In march 2017, I was invited by the association « ENKI » to a one month artist residency in the Créac’h semaphore, next to the legendary Créac’h light house of Ouessant.
Ouessant is the furthest west island of Britany, a small dot in the Atlantic Ocean.
First I was welcomed by the storm Zeus with its 200 km/h winds, then by the locals: a bunch of sailors, pirates and heroes who invited me for a glass or two while I was portraying them.
After one month I captured more than 100 of them in my pages.

je retourne pour 15 jours sous le ciel breton.
j'exposerai au côtés d'urban sketchers du 12 au 14 mai au festival des carnets de voyage "ici & ailleurs" à brest.

et d'ici là, je chevaucherai une mobylette pour la 3ème édition de croq and mob in brocéliande.

rendez-vous du carnet de voyage 2016

after 2 years, I participated again to the "rendez-vous du carnet de voyage" festival in clermont-ferrand.
this 3 days were a huge dose of energy and I am thankful to all the visitors, the organizers and the artists who made this intense 3 days a blast.

next week, I will present my last sketchbooks to the rendez-vous du carnet de voyage in clermont-ferrand, france, including my trip in china, croq'n mob, paris, barcelona, manchester, les villes d'eaux… this is the biggest annual meeting for all sketchbooks lovers.

je suis heureux de participer à l'exposition carnet de voyage à saint-céré dans le lot la semaine prochaine, aux côtés d'aurélie calmet et de marie-sophie andré et à l'invitation du lieu commun.
j'y serai présent du 4 au 10 avril, et animerai un atelier dimanche 10 avril dans la matinée.

dans le cadre de mon exposition "le tour du monde selon lapin" à la galerie le square des artistes, je vous propose un atelier de croquis urbain dans le quartier de la butte aux cailles ce samedi 19 mars, de 14h à 17h.
l'atelier est ouvert aux familles (40 euros pour un adulte et un enfant, 15 euros par personne supplémentaire), de même qu'aux adultes individuellement (20 euros).

festival ici & ailleurs, brest

next week is the travel book festival "ici & ailleurs" in brest, brittany.
I participated to it during the last edition in 2013, and this year, the guest city is barcelona.
I gathered 10 sketchers to join the party: cristina curto, silvia xicola, pierre amoudry, miguel herranz, lluïsot, vasco mourao, santi sallés, alejandro santos, swasky and I.

we will all fly together next thursday to join the festival and spend one week to create a collective travel book of brittany.
That sounds like a very good plan, I can't wait!!

croq & mob in brittany

I'm going to brittany tomorrow for one week residence with 12 others illustrators to ride "mobylette" and sketch villages in the enchanted forest of brocéliande.
