le tour de france à barcelona

yesterday, the "tour de france" left from barcelona at 11am, and I went on the main street (passeig de gracia) to watch this event in town. it reminds me when at the age of 10, it crossed the little town where I grew up in bretagne.
many people where waiting along the way, and nearly all barcelona was closed for cars. we were waiting around 20 minutes looking at motorcycles, official cars and policemen preparing the way, and then we heard some people shooting from plaça catalunya, the "peloton" arrived, so condensed and so fast that I had no time for a picture. 10 seconds after, it was down, nothing more to look at then the team cars, and 2 bikers late. we went have a coffee with friends (jenine and leslie, some friends from virginia I told you about few weeks ago), when a couple of english just asked us "is that here the tour de france passes?" they were 5 minutes late…
