meeting veronica lawlor

veronica lawlor, illustrator and urban sketcher correspondent from new york was visiting barcelona this last week.
we sketched together on the most famous street of the city: passeig de gracia.


it was the oportunity for me to watch veronica creating her wonderful composition, mixing ink, pastel, colour pen…
we also spent a morning at the "circulo artistico de sant lluc", one of the oldest artistic place in town, where gaudi or miro were members.
here are veronica and her boyfriend neil sketching miguel, a kind of tribe king from the past…

I enjoyed her visit, and I'm glad to meet her again in 2 weeks at the portland urban sketching symposium. see you there!

popcorn, un magazine qui n'en ai pas un, à feuilleter en vrai ou bien ici.

oh my bag!

pour fêter ses 10 ans, le magazine dealer de luxe invite une centaine de grands noms du design, de l'art et de la mode à customiser un sac marin lollipops. parmi eux, un lapin rose s'est habilement glissé.
une exposition itinérante fera le tour du monde dès la rentrée…

few days before the national day, the "champs élysées" are already full of french flags. it was very very warm there last saturday, however people were waiting outside the louis vuitton's crowded main shop. front of it, a girl was drinking champagne at the fouquet's terrace… ah, paris!

sketchcrawl #27.3 in barcelona

between 2 officials and worldwide sketchcrawl days, our group of sketch addicts decided to meet almost once a month.

last saturday in barcelona was a new sketching day. we met in front of the sant pau hospital, from the architect lluis domenech i montaner (definitely my favourite modernist architect) and spent the morning there.
it was a very hot day, and all of us were looking for some shadow…
