I will sign my book of ouessant island next saturday in Ouessant, and the 11th of april in brest.

In march 2017, I was invited by the association « ENKI » to a one month artist residency in the Créac’h semaphore, next to the legendary Créac’h light house of Ouessant.
Ouessant is the furthest west island of Britany, a small dot in the Atlantic Ocean.
First I was welcomed by the storm Zeus with its 200 km/h winds, then by the locals: a bunch of sailors, pirates and heroes who invited me for a glass or two while I was portraying them.
After one month I captured more than 100 of them in my pages.

rendez-vous en bretagne!

je retourne pour 15 jours sous le ciel breton.
j'exposerai au côtés d'urban sketchers du 12 au 14 mai au festival des carnets de voyage "ici & ailleurs" à brest.

et d'ici là, je chevaucherai une mobylette pour la 3ème édition de croq and mob in brocéliande.

festival ici & ailleurs, brest

next week is the travel book festival "ici & ailleurs" in brest, brittany.
I participated to it during the last edition in 2013, and this year, the guest city is barcelona.
I gathered 10 sketchers to join the party: cristina curto, silvia xicola, pierre amoudry, miguel herranz, lluïsot, vasco mourao, santi sallés, alejandro santos, swasky and I.

we will all fly together next thursday to join the festival and spend one week to create a collective travel book of brittany.
That sounds like a very good plan, I can't wait!!

ici et ailleurs

"ici et ailleurs", which means "here and there", is a good description of where I spent my last weeks sketching hundreds of pages, on the road between the US and napoli, where the "2nd urban sketchers workshop in naples" went very well.  thanks simo!
but it's also the name of a travel book bi-annual festival in brest (bretagne, france) that invites me to expose next week end.
so if you're around, see you in brest the next 14, 15, and 16 of june!
